26/10/14: The Battle.net API guild issue continues.
This may cause some guild group updates to fail until Blizzard fixes the API on their end.
Custom groups should not be affected, build one for your guild in the meantime.

Additional Updates, API Still Broken for Some Guilds
October 19th 2014 @ 3:14 pm CST by Jr

Many small updates and one larger one: Legendary questline progress is now listed for each character. It is formatted as a decimal: 'Chapter'.'Quest', showing how far each character has completed in the legendary questline. A mouseover will be added later that shows more detailed information.

The Battle.Net API is still having issues with many guilds, hopefully this will be resolved this week. If your guild is affected a Custom Group can be used instead, you'll just have to manually add the characters you want to audit.

6.0: Here we go
October 11th 2014 @ 12:54 pm CST by Jr

We finally have a release date for the pre-expansion patch. I'm gearing up for major updates to Guild Audit to bring it up to speed for the launch of WoD. The Test Environment will be continually updated as I flesh everything out over the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for new stuff and, as always, submit any feedback through the form at the top right. I love to hear from users.

Update Testing

Many updates have been made, the most important being Connected Realm support and Custom Groups. Please test out the new features and submit any issues or comments.

About Connected Realms & Custom Groups
February 15th 2014 @ 8:21 am CST by Jr

First, changes are coming to add support for guilds on connected realms. Currently any guild member on a different realm than their guild will not be updatable. I've been working diligently these past few days to finish the functionality and hope to have it live soon. Thank you to everyone who brought this to my attention!

Second, from the beginning the most requested feature for guildaudit.com was Custom Groups. The ability to create your own list of raiders, rather than using a guild roster. At long last they are developing nicely and looking quite good. Custom Groups will allow for a user to enter specific character names and realms to audit them. Large guilds with multiple groups will no longer be bound by their massive rosters and manually ignoring/unignoring members. Cross-realm raiding groups will also be able to enter characters from any realm in their region and audit accordingly.

Both custom groups and support for connected realms will come at the same time. Most of the work is completed and should be finalized within the new few days.

Characters and guilds on realms that were recently connected may not be accessible by the audit due to some issues on Blizzards end. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

So Here We Are

5.4 has been released and players have begun clearing Siege of Orgrimmar. Now we can all get back to raiding and pointing out each other's failures.

You've probably noticed some changes. First, the site has a new home at www.guildaudit.com! Update your bookmarks. Second, the overall design has been condensed and adjusted, feedback is welcome.

Third, upgrade percentages have been implemented. This new column on the audit represents the percentage of total available valor point upgrades that have been done for a character's gear. Mousing over the column lists items the character does not have upgraded fully. This is intended to be a clear indication of personal effort someone is making in improving their gear.

For example: by the end of Throne of Thunder, a player who did nearly zero content beyond normal 25 man raids, earning about 600 valor per week total, finished the tier with 60% of potential upgrades done. Players putting in more effort (by earning more valor weekly) were easily able to reach 100% and entered 5.4 at or near valor cap. Since Blizzard did not convert Valor to Justice, this obviously gives a great gearing advantage to those who have valor stocked up, as they should be able to fully upgrade any new items as they get them.

More new features are still in the works, most of the work lately has been back-end changes to allow for some interesting ideas. Thanks to everyone for submitting feedback so far, it is great to hear from users.
